Multiple Teams · Lady Jays Finish Third at William Chrisman Tournament


The Junction City Lady Jays finishes third after a full day of pool and bracket play. Starting their day off, they defeated Odessa High School, with senior Kirsten Stallcup having 7 digs, while senior Kaileigh Solis and freshman Reece Boland having 7 setting assist each. Continuing in pool play the Jays split with Harrisonville High School, as senior Emmaya Liaina leads the team with 6 hitting kills. Defeating Raytown South High School, completed pool play round sending the Jays to the top of the bracket, taking 1st overall in pool play.

Starting bracket play the Jays meet up again with Harrisonville, this time defeating them in two sets. The team lead with 20 kills and 6 aces. Moving to the semi-finals the Jays battled with Raytown High, losing to them in three sets. In their final effort for the day the Jays came back on top and ended with defeating St. Joe’s Central for the third place finish.
