  The Junction City High School Cross Country team competed at the KSHSAA Class 6A State Championships this past Saturday.  The meet was held at Augusta’s Four-Mile Creek Resort. The Junction City High School Boys Cross Country team has qualified for the KSHSAA Class 6A State Cross Country Championship.  They qualified by finishing third in the Regional Cross Country Meet held at Warner Park in Manhattan.  Tyler Atkins was the leader for Jays as he finished in sixth place in a time of 16:52. 

Cross Country League Results

The Junction City High School cross country team ran in the Centennial League meet on Saturday at Kanza Park in Topeka. The varsity girls had four finishers.  Lorna Rae Pierce finished in 4th, Amyah O’Neal in 33rd, Murin Burkett 34th, and Ashlynn Shea in 36th. Lady Jay Tennis Regional Results

The Lady Jay tennis team concluded its season at the Regional Tennis Tournament in Topeka.  The Lady Jays doubles team of Stephanie Stanislow and Anna Torres won their first match against a doubles team from Wichita Southeast, 6-2, 6-4, to set up a match that would qualify them for the 6A State Tennis Tournament in

Cross Country Team set PRs in Salina

The Junction City High School cross country team set many personal best on Saturday at Bill Burke Park in Salina. The varsity girls were first to race on the day in a foggy upper 60-degree day race.  They placed 7th as a team.  Lorna Rae Pierce crossed the finish line first for the Blue Jays

Centennial League Tennis Tournament Results

The Lady Jay Tennis Team competed in the Centennial League Tournament on Monday.  The Lady Jay tennis team finished 7th in the team standings.  Manhattan won the team title.  The singles players led the Lady Jays as Anna Torres finished in 12th place, followed by Abby Ratts in 13th place.  The doubles teams representing the Lady Jays

Blue Jays hosted the Coach Bob Schmoekel Invitational

Junction City High School hosted the Coach Bob Schmoekel Cross Country Invitational at Milford State Park. The Lady Blue Jays placed 5th in the meet.  They were lead by led by Lorna Rae Pierce who finished in 21st place at 22:02.  Katelyn Atkins was the next Lady Jay across the finish line finishing in 32nd
